The Allied Arsenal

Refund policy

Effective 1 August 2026 · Applies to every purchase made through thealliedarsenal.com

14 days, money back. If it is not what you expected, email within 14 days of your purchase and you get your money back. Paddle handles the refund; you do not have to argue with anyone.

Paddle's own policy applies as well, and it applies whether or not you write to us. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for every order, so their buyer terms sit alongside this page and you can raise a refund or billing request with them directly at paddle.net. Where Paddle's terms give you more than this page does, Paddle's terms are what you get.

How to request a refund

Email support@thealliedarsenal.com within 14 days of your purchase. Include the email address you bought with, or the Paddle order reference from your receipt — either is enough to find the order.

There is no form to fill in. Requests are actioned within two business days of arriving, and usually the same day.

If the refund is because something went wrong — a file that would not open, an email that never arrived, a figure you believe is wrong — say so, and it will be fixed as well as refunded. Corrections that come in this way get published on the book's page with the correction named.

How the refund is processed

What happens to the files

Nothing. The PDFs are yours to keep. There is no licence key to revoke, nothing to uninstall, and no attempt will be made to claw the files back. A digital file cannot meaningfully be returned, and pretending otherwise would waste both our time.

Refunded customers stop receiving revision notices, since they no longer own the book. They are not added back to any sales sequence.

The numbered first edition

The same policy applies in full. A numbered copy is rendered per order with your name and copy number typeset into it, but it is still a PDF and it is still refundable for 14 days on the same terms — personalising it does not make it non-returnable here.

The copy number attached to a refunded order is retired rather than reissued. Nobody else receives it.

The free book

Twenty Rifles That Fought The War is free. There is nothing to refund. You can leave the email list at any time using the unsubscribe link on any email, and the book stays yours.

Statutory rights

This policy is offered voluntarily and in addition to your statutory rights. It does not replace them.

Consumers in the United Kingdom and the European Union have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. That right can be waived for digital content delivered immediately, and Paddle's checkout asks you to acknowledge immediate delivery — which is what makes the guarantee on this page worth stating. It is offered regardless of what was acknowledged at checkout, so the 14 days stand either way.

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country you bought from.

Chargebacks

Please write before raising a chargeback. A chargeback costs both sides fees and takes months; an email takes a day and gets you the same money. And if you would rather not deal with us at all, Paddle will take the request directly at paddle.net — which is faster than a chargeback too.
